Oh how I miss this place.
Thanks Ning, let me use the chance here to poit out a few things for the Chinese owners of the Orchid. We have stayed there 3 or 4 times as we love the location and the simple concept of the Hotel. After our last stay we could sadly determine it is all about making as much as possible profit. From year to year we had witnessed less and less staff, no mantinace or repairs. This hotel is/was open all year ( lots of guest) so room renovations in a 2-3 year cycle should be normal in my opinion. The pool deck is in a critical shape….. sine no more sunbeds and umbrellas allowed at the beach side you have the sreet in front of you watching the sea, to many trucks and traffic passing by and to crowded on the grass around the pool. Its a pity, its such a nice place but no passion and well feel DNA at the current Management.
